We are…

An adventurous spirit with a deep love of the outdoors and nature.  Much like the noble tortoise, I have been described as mellow and easy going.  I was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and I have felt the pull of the west since I was a child.  A self proclaimed adrenaline junky, I have spent my life seeking adventure, whether it be climbing a mountain, paddling a river or crawling through a cave. I am happiest when stepping outside my comfort zone.

A constantly moving, restless goddess of tribal belly dance, poetry, nature immersion, self-conquest and delectable gluten-free cuisine, above pictured in a rare moment of rest! I adore all things colorful, wild, Native, organic, communal and environmentally and spiritually sustainable. I am contentedly in pursuit of the world-altering clarity that accompanies actions as simple as a deep breath, an instant of compassion, a wild dance around a fire, teaching and learning, working the land, or the writing of a fearless, naked poem. Like the butterfly, I aim to extract and nourish myself with any beauty I can find, and give it back to the world however I may.

We are bound for Eugene, Oregon!

There, Becca will begin working on her Master’s degree in English Literature (specializing in Literature & the Environment, and Native American Literature) at the University of Oregon. Mickey will set out on a quest for the perfect job combining his love for the outdoors and his desire to provide service to our new community. Feel free to follow along as we make our way (in one car, with all our belongings) across 2,000 miles of wilderness and open highway!

Dear Two of You, I am blown away by your blog. And where in the (photoshop) world did you find a picture of a tortoise and a butterfly greeting tenderly? So, so awesome, all of it! I love you!
